Student teams invited to Innovation Challenge

NC New Schools announces the 2014-15 Innovation Challenge, inviting student teams to research a problem and design a practical solution.

This year’s target themes are: 1) food availability for a growing population and 2) encouraging healthy behaviors within the community.

The best proposals will be presented at the Student STEM Symposium in April of 2015. The top two design submissions will be recognized and will be awarded funding to help implement their ideas. This is a great opportunity for those interested in STEM, project-based learning, inquiry, health and wellness, food availability, or social impact.

Student teams can obtain more information on the Innovation Challenge website and must complete a short application by Nov. 14, 2014.
