LEAD 2013
July 16-18, 2013
This intensive summer experience for principals, hosted by the North Carolina Center for Educational Leadership, focuses on developing individual leadership skills to support school leaders in the NC New Schools network. Principals will build collegial relationships, network and learn together through: 1) Administration and analysis of individual leadership assessments; 2) Development of an individualized support plan for each principal in order to successfully implement the school's action plan for improvement. With a clear and thorough understanding of a small number of high impact areas for improvement, school leaders create a plan of action. This plan is in turn supported in the school by NC New Schools leadership and instructional coaches; and 3) Targeted professional development to support individual principal needs.
